Video Story can start from three things: an idea, a script, or an audio recording. Songs have their own page, Music Video.
Your choice tells the app where the story and the speech come from. All of them end in the same card editor, where you review the result.
Some universes allow only some of these inputs. Check the choices shown before you prepare your material.
From an idea
Choose this when you want the app to write the script for you.
- Describe the subject, the main event, and how it ends.
- Add details about the mood, the setting, or the audience if they matter.
- Example: a quiet story about a child who returns a lost dog to its owner. Say how the child finds the owner if that matters to the story.
- Choose a duration and who speaks.
- The app writes the script and plans the shots. Read the words if the wording or the facts matter to you.
From a script
Choose this when the words are already written.
- Select From a script, then Add your script.
- Paste your script, or pick a saved one.
- Speech is a quoted line after a handle:
@Mira: "I found it."Unquoted text describes what the audience sees. - One handle is one character. A label that joins two names, such as
BlipAndNuna:, becomes a new third character with its own look and voice. - To make two characters speak at the same time, write one line for each character and put
{together}after the second line:@Nuna: "One... two... three!" {together}. - The script guide has a complete example, including the character, location, and object lists.
- If the app says your script needs a few adjustments, fix the points it lists, or select Adapt script and the app formats it for you. Your story stays the same. Read the adapted script before you use it. Check every spoken line and any timing.
You can also write a draft in the script generator with Write, review it, then use it for a video. Every preset accepts the same script format. The preset only changes how the shots are planned.
From audio
Choose this for narration you have already recorded.
- Select From audio, then Choose Audio File.
- Wait for the upload to finish. Check the file name and the duration shown.
- The recording sets the voice and the timing. The app matches the pictures to your words.
- Use the optional prompt for visual direction, such as the place or the mood.
- To change the performance, upload a different recording.
Songs
- Open Music Video and upload your song.
- The track sets the timing. Your description guides the visual story.
- Songs and voice recordings always use separate shots, on every preset.
Before you generate
- Check which input is selected. An attached script is not used when From an idea is selected.
- Check the duration and the cost shown.
- After generation, open Story Cards and use Preview card to check the pictures against the speech or the music.
