When the Prince Stands by Me

A realistic live-action Chinese historical romance drama set in an imperial palace, centered on Xiao Jingyuan, a powerful 42-year-old war prince and regent, and Shen Qingyao, a 22-year-old intelligent young woman skilled in medicine and poisons. Their twenty-year age difference must be visually obvious. The story combines palace intrigue, false accusations, revenge, danger, protection and intense mutual romance. Xiao Jingyuan always believes Shen Qingyao first, publicly stands by her, protects and rescues her, clears her name, and confronts anyone who harms her. No cheating, no second love interest, no long separation, and a clear happy ending together.
